What a Renovation Can Include
A renovation is not a single service. It combines several, planned together and built in the right order:

How Long a Renovation Takes
Planning typically takes about one to three months, covering the design, design revisions, permitting and final plans. Construction then runs from about one month to six months, depending on the size and scope of the project. A single area with a patio and plantings sits at the short end. Whole-property projects with several levels, walls and a pool area take longer.
Design revisions, permits and final plans all have to be finished before construction begins. Winter is the ideal time to plan: your design is approved and your permits are in progress while the ground is frozen, so work can begin as soon as the weather allows.

Before anything is built, we design your renovation in 3D so you can see the layout, materials and plantings on screen. If you approve the job and hire us, the 3D design is included at no extra charge.
If you want to see the design before you decide, we offer design packages that typically run about $2,500 to $5,000, depending on the size of the property. Your design typically includes three to four rounds of revisions, so the plan is right before we build. Either way, changes happen on the screen, not in the dirt.
